Why is the microbiome so important for children and babies?

The first years of a child’s life are critical for establishing the microbiome which defines life-long health. Through the process of birth and breastfeeding trillions of microbes are transferred from mother to baby. This helps the child to establish a healthy and diverse gut microbiome.

In the first few years of life children should be exposed to as many different microbes as possible, ideally from nature. Many of our homes and indoor environments are stripped of diverse microbes, through using antibiotic cleaners and bleach. This mean they are over sanitised and leave children lacking the variety of microbes they need, which in turn can lead to allergies and overactive immune responses.

So, yes, let your children play outside, let them get dirty and snotty - perhaps even get a pet. It is all good for their growing microbiome.

If your child has food or environmental allergies, ADHD or neurological challenges or is struggling with their behaviour and mood then try this living liquid probiotic. We are always surprised by the issues that it helps to clear up.

The friendly bacteria combined with herbs and minerals in microbz women work in tandem to support your gut and intimate flora, giving your body the boost is may need to better regulate your hormones and alleviate symptoms.
