Microbz healthy habitats is a fermentation broth made with beneficial microbes, designed to be sprayed or misted around housing, sheds and barns to keep them fresh, reduce odours and create a balanced microbial environment.

How to use

Spray direct in barns, stables, on bedding 4L/100m2
Diluted 1:10 with water

Deep litter system: 1L product + 4L water/m3 of straw or bedding at bedding up

We recommend using water from an unchlorinated source, or water that has been left standing for 24 hours to allow chlorine to evaporate.

Store at room temperature and out of direct sunlight

Purified water, molasses. Microbes: Bifidobacterium: B.bifidum, B. breve, B.longum. Lactobacillus: L. acidophilus, L.delbrueckii, L. casei, L. reuterii, L. plantarum. Lactococcus lactis. Sacharomyces: S. boulardii, S. cerevisiae. Bacillus subtilis. Streptococcus thermophilus. Apple cider vinegar, ceramic powder, sea water concentrate.

Why is the concentration stronger in a deep litter system?

Deep litter systems contain more organic matter, so we recommend a stronger dilution to help break down the muck effectively. If you’re spraying directly on walls or surfaces rather than the bedding, a weaker daily application works well since it’s not actively decomposing the muck.

How is the product best sprayed?

A clean, designated knapsack sprayer works best. You can spray while walking through the shed, Microbz Healthy Habitats is 100% natural and safe to use with animals present.

Can this be run through a shed misting system?

Yes, and it works brilliantly! Short bursts throughout the day help create a positive microbial environment while also giving animals skin and hoof benefits.

Do I need to feed microbz to my animals and also spray the shed with Healthy Habitats?

Using both is ideal! Feeding microbz delivers beneficial microbes directly to the animals, while spraying Healthy Habitats keeps the environment clean, fresh, and free from odours and flies.

In deep litter systems, you may find you need less Healthy Habitats since microbes from the animals are already in the bedding from their manure. Please get in touch to discuss how to make the most of both products in your barns.
