Happy World Health Day!

How healthy are you feeling today?

Your health underpins your life. So today we want to join with the UN and others to take time to recognise the importance of health.

We think of health as a state of physical, mental and social wellbeing. But whose responsibility is this wellbeing?

This year the slogan of the day is My Health, My Right to draw attention to the fact that at least 4.5 billion people in 2021 — more than half of the world’s population — were not fully covered by essential health services.

In the UK our NHS aims to cater equally for the health of the whole population. Yet today, according to the independent feedback champion Healthwatch, a third of adults in England lack confidence that they can access well-timed care, including GP services, mental health support and hospital care.

This is not the fault of the incredible staff working with the NHS who deliver such compassionate and dedicated care to so many people.

There are many barriers to equal access to health provision, such as lack of a permanent address, poor living and working conditions, isolation, language difficulties, poverty and hunger.

This could leave you in a state of concern about how a health condition you might face will be managed by your local services.

One choice we can each make, considering the situation, is to look after ourselves, to take more responsibility for our own health over time. It is never too early, or too late, to build our resilience, so we are less likely to have to put ourselves at risk of an overburdened health system.

We know that gut health is key to building this resilience.

Gut health’s importance to our overall health is a topic of increasing research in the medical community. In fact, research is showing us that our gut microbiome can affect every organ in our body, as well as our mental health.

There are many great tips out there to help you change your lifestyle so that you can be the healthiest version of yourself; moderation in all things, stay away from highly processed foods, exercise in fresh air, quit smoking, cut down on sugar, manage stress, and take a good quality broad spectrum probiotic.

But only you can make that choice.

At microbz we do our utmost to support your right to a healthy you, from the inside out. Our high-quality probiotics are fermented using naturally occurring microbes, plus traditional herbs and minerals.

Here are a few of the many stories from customers like you who have chosen us:
